The Most Beautiful Places in Albania Worth Visiting
Albania is a beautiful country with a rich history and stunning nature. From a long list of interesting places, we have selected a few that are worth visiting.

Durrës: Everything Within Reach
The main reason we chose Durrës as a suitable place for your investment apartment is its strategic location.
The proximity to the capital city, the airport, and well-developed infrastructure make this location ideal for exploring the beauty of Albania.
This way, you can enjoy the comfort and services of a seaside resort while having the untamed Albanian nature within reach.
01
Historic Center of Durrës
0 Km
In the immediate vicinity of our apartments, you will find the historic center of Durrës. This largest port city in Albania is located 33 km from Tirana and has been home to Greeks, Romans, Venetians, Serbs, and Ottomans over the years.
The center is also accessible by public transportation from the resorts. You can spend a pleasant afternoon visiting the main square, nearby streets, marveling at the largest amphitheater in the Balkans, and enjoying excellent ice cream on the promenade.
Further out from the city, you will find pleasant beaches with hills in the background. It's a perfect spot for a relaxing day accessible by local transport.

02
West End Beach
6 Km
In Albania, you can discover small Maldives at several locations, such as West End Beach in Durrës. This place will charm you with its wooden walkway and a hanging rest area above the sea, where you can lie under a reed umbrella and enjoy the sound of the waves. Besides the wonderful sea view, you will also enjoy the sight of small windmills.
Food lovers will appreciate the local seafood restaurant, which will surely impress you. And if you're lucky, you might experience an evening accompanied by a saxophone.

03
Gjeneralit Beach
34 Km
Within 40 minutes from the apartment, you'll find the popular Gjeneralit Beach, which is surrounded by nature, making the journey itself an experience. The hilly landscape offers beautiful views, and the road there is very "Balkan." Once you arrive, you can enjoy the relaxing and comfortable beach with full amenities, yet it’s not overcrowded. We recommend visiting outside the weekend.

04
Tirana
38 Km
What do you know about Tirana? Tirana will surprise you! Despite its young history, it has undergone a tumultuous development. You will find typical Italian architecture, Skanderbeg Square, pleasant parks, and markets here. History lovers should not miss the BunkArt museum.
Another attraction is the mountains rising behind the city and the Dajti National Park. A cable car takes you from the city to the so-called Balcony of Tirana, where you get a view of the entire city and the surrounding hills. You can enjoy a walk in nature and have lunch here. Tirana is an ideal destination for a day trip.

05
The City of Krujë and Lake Bovilla
41 Km
The historic city of Krujë is one of the most important places for Albanians due to the fight against the Ottomans that took place here under the leadership of the national hero Skanderbeg.
Krujë is known for its authentic souvenirs, Ottoman markets, traditional restaurants in the castle, and the Skanderbeg Museum. It's an ideal destination for a day trip. We also recommend visiting the restaurant on the cliff above Krujë.

06
Divjaka National Park & Ardenica Monastery
53 Km
A relaxing hour's drive will take you to Divjaka National Park. The main attraction here is the Karavasta Lagoon, which is among the largest in the Mediterranean and a highly significant site for bird protection during their migration.
Several rare species, including the Dalmatian pelican, live here. The park is full of greenery and trees, providing pleasant shade. Also interesting are the visitor center, the observation tower, wooden walkways, and boat rides on the lagoon. Fish and seafood lovers will find plenty to enjoy here.

07
Berat
90 Km
Berat, an iconic city and symbol of Albania, also known as the city of a thousand windows. A city where you can feel the history as you stroll through the narrow streets of the old town. And when visiting the castle, you will be amazed by the view and the majesty of the sacred Mount Tomor, which beautifully rises above the surrounding landscape.
We recommend combining a visit to this over 2,000-year-old city with a wine tasting at one of the nearby wineries.

08
The Cursed Mountains –
Theth Valley
and the City of Shkodër
105 Km
For lovers of mountains and nature, this is one of the best places Albania has to offer. The road is now asphalted, which leads to higher visitor numbers. Despite this, you will be completely enchanted by the valley and the surrounding mountains.
We recommend staying overnight to soak up the atmosphere, see the beautiful sky, taste local products, and have enough time to visit all the treasures the valley offers. We suggest combining a visit to Theth Valley with a trip to the Rozafa Castle in Shkodër.

09
The City of Vlorë and Sazan Island
123 Km
Vlorë is a pleasant port city. It is also called the city of independence, as the independence of Albania was declared here in 1912. Vlorë is known for its picturesque beaches and surroundings.
We recommend taking a boat trip to Sazan Island, which has an interesting military history, and also visiting the beaches on the Karaburun Peninsula. A highlight is visiting the pirate cave in the cliff, which can be accessed by a small boat and you can swim inside.

10
Lake Ohrid
141 Km
The Albanian Lake Garda—that's what we've called Lake Ohrid. An endless, crystal-clear blue surface and the surrounding mountainous landscape, complemented by interesting historical sites? We definitely recommend it. Everyone will find something to enjoy here.
We recommend circling the lake and visiting the historic center of Ohrid, the monasteries, taking a swim, and possibly going on a trek into the mountains.

11
Lake Komani
190 Km
Lake Komani, created in the 1970s and 1980s during the construction of the dam cascade on the Drin River, is named after the nearby village. The almost uninhabited surrounding landscape and lush vegetation on the steep slopes give the lake a romantic touch.
The main attraction is Lek's Stone, where the mountain stream creates beautiful pebble beaches ideal for swimming. The combination of wild landscape, emerald waters, and white beaches has earned this place the nickname "Albanian Thailand."

12
Gjirokastër
199 Km
An incredibly picturesque town with distinctive architecture that will charm you. The town's landmark is the castle with its clock tower. A notable feature of the castle is definitely the wreck of a warplane. The castle now houses a weapons museum and previously served as a prison. We recommend combining your trip to Gjirokastër with views of the Vjosa River.
