Where does such love come from? During the dictatorship, it was impossible to get gasoline and the only fuel available was poor-quality diesel for tractors. Only old Mercedes cars could run on that.
Albanians love their country and are proud of it?

Most armed conflicts in the Balkans occurred outside Albanian territory?
Most notably in Kosovo, where a minority of Kosovars live. Kosovo is safe to travel by car.

Although more than half of Albanians adhere to Islam, Christianity is widely practiced in the country – 13% to 15% are Catholics and 15% to 20% are Orthodox. The remaining inhabitants are either atheists or followers of other religions.

Since 2009, Albania has been a member of NATO and is a candidate country for EU membership. The country is implementing reforms, revitalizing important sectors, and creating jobs.
Albania is a Balkan leader in efforts towards economic development, opening borders, abolishing mobile roaming, etc. The country is moving most pro-Western in Southern Europe, investing in the economy, and tourism is on the rise, as is the standard of living and property prices.
Massive Investments and the Port in Durrës
Investors here are primarily Swiss and Dutch. Among Czech companies, Forschner operates in Albania, and Preciosa, Budějovický Budvar, Paramo, and ŠKODA also have their representation here.
Albania, with the fastest-growing economy in the Balkans, is changing before our eyes. Extensive investments in infrastructure from the state and large investments from private foreign sources are transforming Albania into a modern European state.
In Durrës, a new cargo port has been completed, and the old port area will be transformed into a new modern city center with a marina and yacht club. This is a joint project of the Albanian government and the EMAR group from Dubai, which is behind the construction of the world's tallest building (Burj Khalifa) and the Dubai Port.
